Real Madrid host Valencia at Santiago Bernabeu this Thursday. Los Blancos will look to extend their unbeaten run at home in La Liga. Check our match preview and betting prediction for tonight’s game.

Real Madrid against the 3rd worst defensive record on the road in La Liga

After Barcelona’s home win yesterday against Leganes, Real Madrid cannot afford to lose points tonight at Santiago Bernabeu against Valencia. Zidane´s team will try to extend their unbeaten run at home in La Liga. With 10 wins and 4 draws in 14 home games, Real Madrid will host one of the worst teams playing on the road in La Liga. Valencia has the 3rd worst defensive record playing away from Mestalla, conceding 27 goals in 13 matches.

Valencia lost points in 10 of their 13 away games in La Liga. The last win was in early December against city rivals Levante.

Sergio Ramos and Eden Hazard could be rested

After a great first half against Eibar in the return of La Liga, Real Madrid was able to secure a convincing 3-1 win. However, the team had some important players picking small injuries that could take them out of tonight’s game against Valencia.

Dani Carvajal left the game at the half after picking up an ankle injury, while Sergio Ramos and Eden Hazard were also substituted. Both players were seen applying ice packs at the bench as a precaution and could be rested tonight. Sidelined remain, Lucas Vasquez, Nacho, Luka Jovic, and Mariano Diaz.

As for Valencia, the team will be without Ezequiel Garay and Cristiano Piccini, while Gabriel Paulista is doubtful. For a team with a poor record on the road, being without 3 key defensive players decreases their chances.

Valencia pushing for a Champions League spot

6 points behind Atletico Madrid (4th), Valencia has a legitimate belief of getting a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League. However, Albert Celades’ men have been vulnerable on the road, and need to improve if they want to reach that goal. With the 7th-worst defence in La Liga, Valencia had their worst performances against at Mallorca (4-1), Getafe (3-0), Real Sociedad (3-0), and Barcelona (5-2).

Real Madrid v Valencia: Betting Tip

If Real Madrid replicates their first-half performance against Eibar tonight, we believe Zidane’s men will win easily. And, after Barcelona’s win yesterday, the team should be motivated to keep the pressure to the Blaugrana. Check Real Madrid to win in a game with many goals!
