The Most Difficult Group Ever
Group F is the most challenging group ever as it includes World champion France, 2016 UEFA champion Portugal, four-time World Cup winners Germany and Play-off champion Hungary.
In fact, this is the second major tournament where the World cup champion and European champion will meet in the group stage after 29 years.
In the 1992 Euro Cup, Netherland and Germany were in the same group, and the latter was defeated by the first.
Reportedly, one of the most successful coaches of Germany, Joachim Liu, remarked this group as the group of death.
UEFA Euro 2021 Knockout Phase & Fixtures
There is a total of 6 groups, and under each group, four teams compete to secure the top two spot. The top two teams of each group advance to the knockout phase.
